About Me

Modern Memory Keeper.com is the new online home for author and designer Marina Garrison. It is a combination of her genealogy blog www.genealogybuzz.com and her personal blog Studio M.

As a keen scrapbooker and genealogist, Marina was puzzled that family historians had failed to grasp the connection between family history research and scrapbooks to tell the stories of their ancestors in a way that current generations would find interesting.

An advocate for simplicity, Marina shares her ideas for creating scrapbooks and other projects to document family memories for today's digital world.

Her articles have been published in Internet Genealogy Magazine, 50 Connect and Vera Bradley magazine.  She has taught genealogy workshops in Kelowna, Vernon and Vancouver.

Marina lives in Kelowna, British Columbia. In addition to scrapbooking, photography and family history, she enjoys pastel painting and spending time with her husband and three children.
